Why Employees are Demotivated - "Self Experience"

Are you Demotivating Your Employees?

I am writing about this topic because many times a talented employee is demotivated in company due to many reasons. It’s my own experience. After working long time in an organization it is felt that, you are being demotivated. Demotivation comes from many ways. Actually these days I’m also suffering from it, so thought to explain it deeply. Why? Employees get demotivated. When I started working in this Education organization as a Manager it was much excitement in me regarding my work, my office, all tasks given by my Managing Director. He used say “Always Keep Excitement in life”. When you stopped being excited and keep starting new works, you will loss all current power. And if you are continue working on new projects your power increases 100 times more. If anyone asks to me, how was I inspired with him? Actually I analyzed his working style. He is a Managing Director but works most in the company. Never take rest eve. Once I thought, Being MD of the company he is not taking rest then why should I?. From the day I started working day and night. You can’t believe. I wake up at 5 O’clock be ready after 6 AM, and reach my office at 7 AM. Work continuously, don’t care about the lunch, Its 2 O’clock, 3O’clock. By Force my MD and one Mam never seen like her say to take lunch. I had had no lunch with me. Because I get up at 6 and come at 7. They offer me their lunch. When again I start working then it is 7 o’clock of evening. Completed 12 hours. Eyes are red now. Headache is smiling on me. Summer vacation is saying to drink cool water, AC outside was calling to sit under it. My obsession was on 7th sky. I had read anywhere that if you have obsession in your life then your lazy life becomes exciting.

But working from morning till night can’t bring obsession in your life. How can obsession come in your life? Actually before few days I was wondering here there but not working seriously anywhere. Here I had some incident in my life that’s why I have started working seriously. It became my habit. My MD used to motivate me doing new things started many projects. I was living his life. Fulfilling his dream. Think from a side then I find that I was in benefit here, but from one side I see then find that I was destroying my life’s precious moment to fulfill other’s dream. I was losing my existence. If I had worked for me adding my ambition with strong obsession, how creative my world would be. Really it doesn’t matter that how I spent my life and for whom. I learnt much from this experience. Even I was learning daily. But misfortunately DEMOTIVATION came in this story.
Demotivation started from here, our employees increased here. I told many time to make good rule regulation and a management. He Denied. He started taking decision alone. He started opening his personal life matter in office. “Abuse”, “Slap” all became common for him and his beloved. I had worked hard to increase no. of employees in low salary. Watching condition of organization, each of them started leaving office. They were so laborious, working here in low salary. Because I thought them daily related to their profile in Digital marketing. They were availing benefits. Now, when they were experienced 6 months expected for salary increment. But my MD Sir told to fire them; we can’t give them more salary. I told them to search job, they got better job. They are happy but we are not. Because they were experienced, they were motivated here in our company environment, having all knowledge of organization. They were lack of motivation only. They left because they were demotivated.

Losing the command on your organization

The most effective MD or Managers are the ones who have a finger on the pulse of the office at all times. Gossip often flies on facts that are poorly understood. Whether fact or fiction, truth or speculation, they can serve as big sources of distraction for employees. A good leader heads these issues out of the office. They don’t bring their personal life in the office. Make sure you cultivate honest relationships with a few key employees at different levels. If you start ignoring key people of the company, he will also start hating you. So it’s better that rely on them to let you know – without attribution to individual employees, of course – what issues are gathering steam. Address them honestly, publicly and quickly. And make sure you have a true open-door policy where you’ll willingly answer questions in a one-on-one setting.

Failing to express thankfulness:

Being an employee, I think and want to be recognized for my hard work. It’s one of the most fundamental tenets of leadership. While I found here at last ignoring employee progress was a huge mistake. It costs nothing but the time it takes to acknowledge that person. When an employee feels unappreciated, he or she loses the desire to push boundaries and working hard for the company. If formality isn't your thing, a genuine compliment every now and then goes a long way toward boosting employee motivation. He failed doing it.

Reading heart and mind of employee:

The most effective Directors or Manager of the company should be typically the ones who bring a personal touch to their approach with employees. Take the time to get to know your managers and their team. People tend to work much harder when they see you care and understand their impact on the team. Perhaps more importantly, remember that people are not identical - individual employees have individual motivations. When you invest the time to learn more about the people who work with and for you, it’s easier to identify what makes them tick and how you can help them realize their potential.
A Managing Director or manager of organization should manage these three points written above. I know that am not much experienced to say it but, so far as my experience and feeling concerned. We must care about it. Now analyzing these all thing, I must say, I am not demotivated my position on that organization was being demotivated only. Whenever I start working again for any organization. My energy will be more that flowing here. I will start hammering on my task like stones. Not now but sure within a short while I will hunt my ambition.

Motivate Your Self, None can Motivate You - Gaurav Dubey

Only You can Motivate your self:

You know exactly what you need to do. You’re focused on all the positive outcomes that will result once you’ve finished that looming task. You’ve cleared your calendar so you can focus on completing this one thing.

And then nothing happens.

Why? Because you think you need motivation. You’re waiting on a spark, on inspiration to fly out of nothingness and smack you in the face.

Well, I hate to break it to you…but if this sounds like you, you’re going to be waiting for a long time. Possibly forever. Because here’s the reality—motivation, as you know it, is a myth. Here are three reasons why.

Stop thinking in terms of fear.
We're all guilty of thinking in the negative instead of the affirmative. We're busy not wanting things. That's fine and normal, but there is no action associated with not wanting something. You can't decide to do something because you don't want another. That's not how it works. That'll just keep you on the couch, doing nothing.
Fear is harmful for two reasons:
 A) It keeps you unmotivated. A negative goal isn't something you can go to action on. But what's more, there's
B) It's draining and exhausting. Living in fear sucks. It keeps you in a state of perpetual worry instead of action. When you're drained and exhausted and worried, you are not going to be motivated. There's no two ways around it.

Define your goal and your plan to achieve it.

Now that we have you thinking in the positive, you gotta know what you're getting positive about. Instead of, "I don't want to be homeless, poor, and live my life in a state of abject poverty," you're thinking, "I want to be financially secure." Awesome. Now -- what's your plan to achieve that?
Well, for that specific example, you'd create some type of income plan. It would involve making a budget, possibly going back to school, or expanding your business. You have concrete steps toward your goal. But for whatever you're facing -- be it weight loss, doing well in school, or following through with a dream -- you need to figure out what it is you want and just how you plan on doing that. If you really want it, it won't be all that hard to figure out.
How can I motivate myself to work hard?
When I find I am not motivated to begin a project, I first spend a few minutes thinking what is the first thing that needs to be done if I were to start. No matter how small a task it is, that is where I start, and I will do whatever is necessary to accomplish it.

Keep it to just one:
If you have a ton of things on your to-do list, sometimes it becomes daunting and you end up putting the list away and "tackling it later." But if you have one thing on that list of yours, that's it. That's doable. It's doable and you can focus on it -- spreading yourself thin over a dozen won't do you or your goals justice.

Focus Your Self:

You can't focus yourself if you're not focused on a specific goal. Break it down into small pieces as much as possible. If your goal is to shave 5 years off your appearance, attack it bit by bit. Start off with a new workout routine and get that down. Then, move to a new makeup regimen. Then, tackle your wardrobe. If you don't parse it out, your brain will raise it's arms (if brains had arms) up in surrender and you'll be left with no idea where to go or what to do.

Don't live others life,Fulfill your dream - Gaurav Dubey

It's Gaurav Dubey working as Digital Marketing manager and a web developer for a organization. Thought much about the working strategy of mine and found that whatever creativity i have and spend for others dream why not do something for my self, why not make my self entrepreneur.

We don't have so much time to spend it fulfilling others dream.
Let's start living your life and do completing my own dream. It is also said that if you cannot start fulfilling your dream some one else will hire you to fulfill his dream. Same way i have been hired. So let's start my own business. God bless me.

Being an entrepreneur means

Being an entrepreneur means that you are ready to face the challenges of life. Rather than waiting to learn, entrepreneurship will help you gain wisdom while you turn your ideas into reality. You can talk to as many people as you can, refer books or take suggestions on your ideas but nothing can beat the learning you will get out of doing things on your own.
Steve Jobs, one of the best entrepreneurs said,
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary”
The best possible guidance
The best possible guidance in entrepreneurship is how you utilize your experience. It is difficult to trade the established 9 to 5 with that of starting your own organization, but there is some sort of satisfaction and a sense of empowerment when you face the day-to-day management of your own organization. It’s totally cool and awesome.
Generally, people think being an entrepreneur means true freedom; “being able to do what you want, when, with whomsoever, wherever and however you want”. Others described it as “being able to wake up when you have finished sleeping!”. Yes, this sounds cool and awesome but it goes much deeper than these reasons, today we list out 10 reasons why being an entrepreneur rocks

1. Following your passion
Entrepreneurship provides you with the opportunity to do something that you are passionate about. Are you an architect, engineer or a software developer? Whatever your area of expertise, you can convert your passion into a profitable business. Find the Unique Selling Points (USP) of your idea, try to make it unique, analyze your competitors, define what make you different from others and determine how you can turn your passion into a lucrative and successful business.
“Find out what you like doing best and get someone to pay you for doing it.”
Katharine Whitehorn
2. Calling the shots
Being an entrepreneur means hard work. At the beginning you have to work really hard for your dreams because you are just starting and can’t expect overnight success. When you are chasing your dreams and working on your ideas, you are independent and there is nothing better than being your own boss and calling the shots. Do the hard work, so you can enjoy your life on your own terms.
3. Playing as big as you want
The road to entrepreneurial success won’t come easy, it won’t be without challenges. When you dream, dream BIG. You have the ability to control your dreams and go as big as you want every day. You are free to make your own decision and that will determine how close or far you are from achieving your dreams. You will be creating opportunities that will push and motivate you every day. Each day will be a reminder of why you took this step in your career and will drive you.
4. Freedom
Believing in who you are and your abilities can bring significant changes to your thinking. As an entrepreneur, you have the freedom to choose your career path. You have the freedom for decision making on where, how and whom to conduct business with. To achieve this though, you need to be focused on your goals and targets.
5. Monetary profit
Your income directly relates to the efforts you put into your business, on condition that your ideas are well planned and focused. Best thing about being young, focused and running a business is that whatever you earn you can put back into your business.
As an entrepreneur, your income is not determined by your skills, background, academics etc. but by market forces. At times, you will feel that the industry is harsh on you but these are the challenges which you have to face in business.
6. Learning new things
As an entrepreneur, you will take on many roles. You will get the chance to walk in different shoes every day. You will be taking on too many responsibilities. Every day will be a new experience, some will be more challenging than others. But at the end of the day, you have to realize that learning these roles and responsibilities are all part of your entrepreneurial journey.
7. Living your life, setting your own schedule
When you are working for an organization, you have to follow their rules, regulations, policies and culture. But being an entrepreneur, you get to choose your rules, you will control your working hours, decide when to meet clients, when to work on projects, when to enjoy an event or when to spend time with your loved ones.
Starting your own business offers you flexibility and total responsibility of designing your life.
8. Unlimited possibilities
The good thing about being an entrepreneur is the unlimited possibilities. As an entrepreneur, you will earn your own rewards for being innovative. Every day will be filled with the promise of new challenges, new clients and new creativity. The harder you work, the greater and immediate your gratification will be.
9. Being the Boss
Perhaps one of the best reasons for most people being the boss. Isn’t that cool? But it will also require vision, a strong commitment to your goals, and disciplined leadership.
If you start thinking as a entrepreneur then there is none to stop being you. Just there is a need to think like entrepreneur.

10. Fun ride
Once you get past the insanity of a start-up and your organization starts making money, you will realize the joy and pride of calling this your accomplishment. Those countless sleepless nights were not in vain after all!
The only thing required to become an entrepreneur is to just live out your dreams. Believe in yourself and your abilities, be brave and ROCK the world.
